The Autumnal Leaf
And in autumn I will have answers
to questions you never asked,
thinking it is too late to know, if
what we felt had the name ‘love’.
And in autumn I will have answers

Watch your body, make each part act.
As they should and can,
In harmony with self, mind and nature,
Call it Pranayam or Meditation or Asana,
That is Yoga for you, me and all,
But even if you consider yourself a responsible user of Nature, in the very depth of your heart, there is a conviction: “The world must serve me—nourish, provide necessary conditions for life, development, and safety. Because I’m so . . . special.”
