Review of “The Universe and Man: Rules of Interaction”

“There is nothing wrong with that. It’s hard when you have no habit, but over time, you’ll surely develop it. Think about the parents: they may be at odds with each other, feel bad, be busy or tired. But for the sake of their child, they forget about all this. If the child feels fine, they feel fine, too. This is how the natural state of harmony is achieved.
You can do the same toward neighbors, partners, and even strangers. Care is all what matters!

Sulo looked at Surya and kissed him. “Look, forget whatever happened. Have faith in God. Do only good to others.”

Surya innocently nodded his head. “Surya, don’t ever tell anyone about this incident. You have committed a mistake that can never be rectified.”

Surya was in tears and hugged Sulo. “I am alright Amma. I feel much better now. You go to work Amma. I will never do anything that will upset you.”

Move On

By now, the sight of his house was far away as they neared the place of their new Society premises where preparations for housewarming ceremony was in full swing.  Surya had a deep sigh.  He looked at the crushed coins that he had kept with him.  He could hear the sounds of the Goods train passing by crushing the coins and going far away out of sight.  He threw the coins away and proceeded to embrace the further chapters of his life.  It was time to permanently move on from this chapter of his life.  Forgetfulness is the biggest gift given by the Almighty to mankind, he thought.  Else everyone would have got mad with their guilt and dark secrets.  Surya had a radiant smile and lifted his daughter Swara as they moved their way into the new flat.

Do You Believe in Humans?

Ajit smiled at Surya and said, “I am a social activist and a rationalist. I thought people should serve humanity instead of believing in God. I knew only the language of humanity and did not even marry for I thought it would shift my priorities in life. It was evident that many did not like my ways.  A bus stop in my locality was used for parking two wheelers and rickshaws. Some even pitched their huts permanently near the bus stop.

We are What We Dream

A particular state of mind can talk us about something more, something that is hidden, denied and that influences our daily emotions. Consequently those emotions will impact on our dreams. The latter will try to transform in images and symbols all those emotions and the truth behind them leading us to compensate what we lack and what we do not listen during the daylight. The dream will bring the message to the conscious mind the morning later, influencing again our day, feelings and state of mind. Until when?

Review of “Alleys are Filled with Future Alphabets”

“A round moon rose behind me and lit up the all-encompassing sea like a shining silver sheet”. These lines from the poem ‘Invisible target’ almost paint the sea, the moon, the man on a canvas. It is like the poet takes along with him, his reader in this moon-soaked beach. But while they are in this journey, the poet gives them freedom to loiter around the shores of anguish, pain, longing that rise and falls like waves on the human minds.

West Bengal Folk Dances

Dancing Around India: Chapter 7 – West Bengal Folk Dances

The fourth dance form that the couple talked about is the Raibense Dance, performed mostly by a group of male dancers, which is a representation of the Bratachari tradition of Bengal. It is an ancient dance form that originated in Bengal and is a reminder of the expertise of the Bengalese in the military field. The word ‘Rai’ means kingly and royal and the word ‘Bense’ comes from ‘bansh’ or bamboo. This dance form consists of the men dancing with bamboo sticks and props and imitating fighting and acrobatics so as to display their control over the art. Seeing this dance form will give the audience an idea about the valour of the ancient people of Bengal. The Kanshi and Dhol are the only instruments used in this dance form. The clanging sound of the Kanshi and the rhythmic beat of the Dhol can generate a sense of courage in the heart of the dancers. The costume is a simple dhoti stripped with red clothing that signifies valour. It was modified to its present form by an ICS, Shri Gurusaday Dutta.

He got furious and stole the Diamond. Mystical Diamond : Chapter-8

Meanwhile an uneasy calm prevailed at the Empire of Tanjore. The coronation of Kulothunga was being undertaken under the watchful eyes of Hiranya and the Sinhala army. Kundavai was effectively a prisoner at their hands though she was overseeing the coronation process of her son. Hiranmaya who had brought in this uneasy truce remained the only sane voice who tried to usher in normalcy. He was of the view that the Sinhala army should return back to the Sinhala kingdom which was hotly contested by Hiranya.
