Fiercely loyal to the Emperor Mutharaiyar, Krishnan Raman summoned his troops and waged a battle with Hiranya. Krishnan Raman’s trusted soldiers and Hiranya’s army drew their weapons and took up battle positions as their soldiers charged in for a bitter and bloody battle. Hiranyas army was bigger and stronger as they were backed by the Sinhala Army. The battle raged on for a week. Each time Krishnan Raman appeared to be winning the battle but Hiranya emerged with much bigger army. The rest of the kingdoms in the South and even some from the North sensed an opportunity to share the loot of the Tanjore Empire. The powerful naval forces of the Tanjore Empire did not participate in the war and remained neutral. There was confusion within the ranks regarding whose orders to follow?

He sent his informers across the sea to the kingdoms in the South East of Asia and sought their backing. The preparation went for over six months. The kingdoms from South East of Asia also sent their ships and naval Expertise. Krishnan Raman watched with awe at the expertise and skill of the Emperor. He could not have certainly made such preparations and felt that Mutharaiyar was right in leading the Army. He also felt that he needlessly ended over an argument over the Mystical Diamond. It was after all given to him by Emperor Elangovathiarayan to whom his family will ever remain indebted for life. Mutharaiyar was after all the Emperor and revealing about the Mystical Diamond to him was in public interest only. Krishnan Raman felt that he was being needlessly egoistic. He wholeheartedly participated in the War process. They waited for an opportune time to attack the Sinhala kingdom.

He let out a choked scream, his knees buckled, and he fell to the floor. Throwing aside the iron object she had hit him with, she stood there, watching him writhe in pain.  She was not done with him yet.
