Four years, not a long period,
I watched the giant architecture
slowly started ruining,
Four years of lamentation,
I listened each moment, its weeping!
Soul started collapsing in quietude,
Yet many entertained to celebrate
its beauty,
Probably they were devoid of
its upcoming demise!
Four years it took,
to get demolished entirely
It’s not a long time,
you had no option beside,
only to watch its destruction bit by bit!
You were in a sense of unrest ,
as if you were trapped and incapable,
you couldn’t disentangle the blighted soul!
That long four years, not even so long,
Meanwhile, so many Springs, Winters ,Summers stepped in,
Autumns shredded leaves, they dispersed,
loved to touch its grandeur,
Rains touched its height and felt honoured,
tapping day and night over its canopy !
I watched how they throttled it,
tore its garb,
snatched its ornated fuselages,
since four years , it’s not a long period!
I was the only witness of its ruination,
Its lamentation, its bonafide struggle,
By degrees its sheer beauty vanished,
no one investigated how and why
it lost its last breath!
