Lamination

I’m fed up with this wire and wireless world,

With gadgets and gizmos all around-

Where words exchanged lack depths of feeling,

Save the tiresum cacophonous sound.

My cell phone memory loses the race

To photos and videos sent by my friends,

So often am I lampooned by them

For failing to keep pace with the trends.

How can a rustic like me respond

To a mad world moving at a breakneck speed?

How does he come out of his long – held creed?

While I still grapple with the monstrous tech age

And vainly try to come to terms with it,

I bemoan the fact I’m a perpetual laggard-

Unworthy to learn, a blockhead, a nitwit.
