The Broken Pitcher

Leaving often works slow

like water dripping from

a broken pitcher where

the crack-line is invisible.

But the pitcher mostly

knows it right, cracks

are often left to be felt

with senses, physical.

And when it gets seen-

the reducing water line

inside, it quietly looks at

its spoilt self and sighs.

This fate of drying up

from within had to come,

it knew, when the knock

made it fall with a moan.

Leaving trickles thereafter.
