Tugs

–by Amanita Sen

Now love is simply a tug in the heart,

like the dupatta getting stuck somewhere.

Or may be like a child holding my fingers

for she has some deep secrets to share.

I feel like turning back and sit on my knees,

look at it full-eyed and be all ears to the words.

I could wipe a tear or two, share the pain,

for when is love without the aches, heaviness!

Like milestones to destinations, finite and sure,

the tugs, I wish, was the distance closing up to you.
