Have you ever sat gaping

at your poem open-mouthed,

wondering how it could word

unexpectedly, all that you never

let surface on your mind for the

fact that it would be overwhelming

for you to face them upright?

Have you seen the words cast

a torchlight in the darkest spot

with cobwebs of doubts, fear?

Have your words prophesied

your events long before coming

true, to your great surprise?

Warned you from falling-have they?

Have you trusted the words to know

and tell what might be right for you?

Seer words, a guardian-angel to you?

Have you fought them, disobeyed,

for the truth was hard to abide by?

I concede to none, to go the right way

but for my policing poems I try.
